The champions league quarter finals played yesterday ended in a remarkable fashion. Leicester city saw their fairy tale UCL run come to an end as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Atletico Madrid in the King power stadium. The EPL champions having already lost the first leg of the tie in Madrid  needed 3 goals to go through after falling behind in the first half. It was a remarkable run for the foxes as they maintain their unbeaten run in the UCL at home. The most intriguing tie was the game played at the Bernabeu stadium. The atmosphere was intensified as the home team put 4 goals past Bayern Munich. Cristiano Ronaldo scored a perfect hatrick with a little help from the referee who was overtly poor on the night. A flight from Port Harcourt to Lagos today turned into a nightmare for travellers. A lady today narrated her story of herself being aboard an Aero contractor flight travelling from Port Harcourt to Lagos that started smoking barely 20mins into the flight. She explained that one of the blades (engines) of the plane was burning and thick fumes covered the air in the plane. The pilot kept asking the passengers to keep calm while the plane was moving up and down. At this point the alarms and buzzers in the plane were triggered and every one was panicking as they screamed prayers in fear for their lives. The pilot was able to land the plane safely and had fire services emergency unit already on ground. Police in Celeveland have announced the death of Steve Stevens. The suspect in Cleveland, Ohio Facebook killings who killed a 72 years old man on saturday Read story here shot himself after a brief pursuit by the police. The police got a tip that his car was spotted at McDonald's parking lot. The driver on spotting the police drove off initiating a pursuit. The monster shot himself after he was stopped by the police. The police department are happy this has ended but went further to say "We would have preferred it not ended this way. Chelsea football club and club captain John Terry today jointly announced that he will no longer be at Stamford bridge next season. The defender who has been with the team for 22 years making 713 appearances has featured less this season but is a true club legend. He has through out his stay in Stamford bridge won 14 major honours including 4 league titles and a Champions league trophy. He also has scored 66 goals for the club. The club in a statement today wished him the very best of luck for the future. John Terry is one of only 5 defenders to have won PFA player of the year award and is the Premier leauge's highest scoring defender of all time.
